AUMÜLLER RWA1050 hardware systems can be used for inward-opening side-hung, bottom-hung or top-hung windows. By means of the installation of the window drives at an acute angle to the side closing edge and the relocation of the attachment pivot on the console behind the post/bar, you can achieve opening angles of up to 90° within 60 seconds. With the aid of a sequence control, the window is first unlocked, and then opened by one or more window drives. When closing, the window is first closed by the window drive and then locked by the window locking drive.

AUMÜLLER RWA1050 hardware systems can be used in SHEV systems and for natural ventilation via automated windows in façades.
RWA1050 hardware systems are intended for inward-opening windows.
The drive is mounted to the window frame with a triangular bracket and a casement bracket on the window frame of the side closing edge. It lies at an acute angle to the window frame. The attachment point of the window drive to the console lies behind the post/bar construction. The maximum post/bar depth is 150 mm. The drive is in the extended position when the window is closed. The effective drive force in the opening direction of the window depends on the angle of attack. Larger angles of attack are preferable. This must be taken into account in the arrangement of the window drives, particularly when used with a top-hung window. For large and heavy windows, 2 window drives are required, one per side closing edge. The following apply as guideline dimensions:
- The seating angle of attack between the window frame and window drive should not be less than 12°
- The distance between the central axis of the casement bracket and the hinge axis (rotation point) should not be less than 1/2 of the corresponding window size
- For window height larger than 1300 mm, 2 window drives are required
- The space required at the frame is 20 mm
The locking drive is mounted irrespective of the width and length of the window frame, on the frame of the main closing or side closing edge. Installation details and corresponding accessories ca be found in the technical documentation.
The locking of the window takes place according to the window locking drive used by means of locking angles, or by an additional locking roller, or directly via the gear box of the proven window fitting. The features tested according to EN14351-1, such as integrity in driving rain and joint permeability of the window over the complete joint length are thereby usually maintained.
