Sometimes the objective is clear: to open a heavy window quickly, widely, and safely in the event of a fire. In an emergency, every second counts when it comes to creating as large a ventilation area as possible. We developed the KS8 precisely for this crucial moment. A chain drive that sets new standards. No other drive in its size class performs  better. The adjustable chain tension and spring-assisted chain outlet  ensure particularly smooth chain running. The pluggable AUMÜLLER-Click connection solution at both ends of the drive enables flexible, 
cost-efficient cabling.

Despite its compact dimensions of only 56 × 40 mm, we have succeeded in equipping the KS8 with a force of 800 N and a speed of 22 mm per second. This means it meets three key requirements: powerful performance, minimal space requirements, and high opening speed; it is ideal for situations where space is limited but high forces are required.

Yet the KS8 offers even more. It is fully compatible with the AUMÜLLER Click System and operates efficiently in combination with other KS8 drives and locking drives, making it a true team player.

Designed for practical use, the KS8 features a manually extendable chain, allowing quick and easy attachment to the sash block. This significantly reduces installation time, providing a simple but decisive advantage in everyday work. Summary: Quick opening of heavy windows with minimal space requirements; the KS8 bridges these apparent contradictions with precision and power.

Ideal Combination of Power and Speed

The high speed of the drive enables unlocking and subsequent opening of up to 1,000 mm in less than 60 seconds. With a force of 800 N, it can achieve this even with heavy windows, combining rapid movement with exceptional strength.

Mechanical Chain Release

Thanks to the release holes in the housing, the chain can be pulled out manually using the supplied plug. This makes it easy to hook the chain into the wing block–without any electrical voltage applied. As a result, mechanical assembly work can be carried out independently of a power supply.

Adjustable Chain Tension

The concealed adjustment screw at the chain outlet allows precise individual adjustment of the chain tension. Increased rear stiffness provides maximum stability under high-pressure loads, while reduced tension ensures particularly smooth operation under tensile loads.
