German Packaging Akt
General information
The German Packaging Akt of 5 July 2017, last amended by Article 2 of the Act of 22 September 2021 (Packaging Akt), sets out the requirements for product responsibility in accordance with Section 23 of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act for packaging. The objectives of the German Packaging Act are the protection of the environment and fair competition. It is intended to help avoid waste and return as many raw materials as possible to the material cycle in order to conserve natural resources. Among other things, the Packaging Act obliges manufacturers to assume responsibility for the entire life cycle of their packaging.
Manufacturers of products whose sales packaging and outer packaging could typically accumulate as waste in private households and comparable places after use, also referred to as "packaging subject to system participation" in the sense of the German Packaging Act, must dispose of it via a nationwide dual system.
In addition to schools, hotels and public authorities, comparable places also include agricultural and handicraft enterprises, whose packaging can be collected in a household-typical rhythm with a collection container of a maximum size of 1,100 litres.
AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH supplies electrical drives and control units for systems for natural smoke and heat exhaust as well as for natural ventilation via window automation. The products are basically supplied to commercial specialist companies in the field of electrical installation or window/facade construction. As a manufacturer, we have no influence on the behaviour and downstream distribution channels of our products. Consequently, we cannot rule out the possibility that the packaging of our products will be disposed of in typical household collection containers. Since sustainability and environmental protection characterise our mission statement, we participate in the dual recycling system for packaging.
Notice in accordance with § 15 Para. 1 of the German Packaging Act
AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH is registered in the LUCID database of the Central Packaging Register under the number DE 5288746785274 as a manufacturer of products placed on the market in packaging subject to system participation.
For the purpose of taking back and disposing of packaging materials, we participate in the dual system:
You may dispose of the packaging materials of our products free of charge in the household waste containers provided for this purpose (e.g. yellow sack, blue/green bin, etc.) or at the comunal waste collection points. Please observe the corresponding information in the installation instructions of the products.

Battery regulation
Notice and information obligations pursuant to §18 (1) German Battery Akt (BattG2)
In connection with the sale of batteries or accumulators or with the delivery of products containing them, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the German Battery Akt:
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on batteries or accumulators indicates that they must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of their life. If batteries or accumulators contain mercury, cadmium or lead, you will find the respective chemical symbol (Hg, Cd or Pb) below the symbol of the crossed-out dustbin. You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators. You can do this free of charge at a retail outlet or at another collection point near you. Addresses of suitable collection points can be obtained from your city or local government. Further information on the German Battery Akt can be found here.
